Welcome to 2014. This month many of the items used in class were from the new 2014 Occasions Catalog. This catalog features items available through June 1, 2014.
Language of Love Valentine
This card was my hardest and I’m still not 100% happy, but it is very sweet. We used the Stamp-a ma-jig quite a bit with this card. Lesson? One stamp, one stamp-a-ma-jig and 5 ink colors does not make for a speedy class!
Stamps – Language of Love
Ink – Strawberry Slush, Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Rose Red and Raspberry Ripple Classic Stampin’ Ink
Paper – Strawberry Slush, Raspberry Ripple and Whisper White card stock
Tools – Expressions Thinlits (ret), 3/16″ Corner Rounder Punch, Small Heart punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig
Embellishments – Strawberry Slush 3/8″ Ruffle Trim, Dazzling Details, wax paper
Make a Wish Braided Birthday
This card was made using the Braided Technique. It looks a lot more tedious than it really is. The gold accents on this card really stand out. Unfortunately, not as much in pictures.
Stamps – Perfect Pennants
Ink – Bermuda Bay and Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin’ Ink
Paper – So Saffron, Tangerine Tango and Very Vanilla card stock, Foil sheets in Gold, Retro Fresh DSP
Tools – 1/2″ Circle Punch, paper snips
Embellishments – Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon
Hearts a Flutter birthday or Valentine
Other than cutting the hearts with Framelits, this card came together pretty fast. I showcase this as a birthday card but you could easily change the sentiment to Valentines or really anything!
Stamps – Hearts A Flutter and Express Yourself (hostess)
Ink – Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Perfect Plum Classic Stampin’ Inks
Paper – Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock
Tools – Chevron Border Punch, Hearts A Flutter Framelit
Embellishments – 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain ribbon in Real Red, Basic Jewels Rhinestones
