Sorry for the delay – I wanted to show you a few more highlights about Convention. As I mentioned before, I was not able to go, but demonstrators can watch certain parts of it that were recorded. Oh – some of the new products for the holiday are to die for! I can’t share them now, but I will as soon as I am allowed to! This was the scene pretty much every morning of Convention. People visiting, getting to their classes and swapping cards!
Convention is about a few things: Passion for Paper Crafting, Training, Relationships and sales. Notice I mentioned sales last? Money makes the world go ’round and obviously if people aren’t selling…. well, that’s no good for anyone! But that isn’t Stampin’ Up!’s primary focus. Stampin’ Up! believes that training their demonstrators appropriately and fostering their love of stamping or scrapbooking or whatever … is all they need to do. People become demonstrators because they love our products and love stamping. Most are pretty people friendly already, but if they weren’t before, they are once they are a demonstrator! They can’t contain their excitement of showing off something they made with their own hands. The relationships we build with our customers (who end up friends) and with other paper crafters make being a demonstrator so rewarding. Stampin’ Up! believes that if you share your passion and really believe in it – the sales will follow. Passion like this lucky lady!
Pam was presenting projects from the Holiday Catalog – and then giving the projects away! The garland that this lady is getting was my favorite!
In the picture below, these ladies are learning about new items available, how they work and tips and tricks. This hands-on learning from the product team is one of my favorite things! I am not sure, but it seems like they are looking at Project Life!
As for entertainment – they had some excellent dancers in keeping with the 20’s theme! Utah is really well known for dancers.
Well – I hope this gives you a little taste of what a Stampin’ Up! convention is like. They really are so much fun! I will leave you with Shannon – who is probably saying: I know, right? Best Convention ever!
